Ripple
Ripple
Her skin was marked with the light of waves,
she had dark long hair swollen with brine
and she had glass black eyes that ran quite deep
into a place where absolutely no light did shine.
Uncomfortable her gaze did make you
even through the most congenial smile
her webbed fingers touched you like ice
and her cracked face did completely beguile.
This little sliver of a girl
was a wonder of the deep that is me,
years have passed between this reflection
I think she drowned in that god foresaken sea.
One thing you could most certainly not deny,
is that scales are definitely sharply and prickly
as your fingers winced while you ran them up her thigh
and her blue lips can make you feel sickly
but all she wanted was to find the right guy.

Don't worry about being late: we all are from time to time :) (Or perhaps that's just me...)
The picture freaked me out... I was afraid it was going to be about a dead woman floating in the water at first. Glad to find out it wasn't!
Now that's an interesting poem and picture. Enigmatic.
Excellent.
Wow. Fabulous imagery! I love it.
What a pretty angel swimming in the water! Is it you? The poem seems to tie the two together.
In this poem I see a girl who tried to hide behind a mask, a tough exterior, even though deep down she wanted to love and be loved. Wonderful combination of photo and poem.
Very powerful poem and the photo is very striking. Well done.
That had some wicked imagery. She carries a disguise no one can see through except real love. Great work.
Very cleverly written...the visuals were wonderful. Loved it! :~)
Dreamy and eerie at the same time...this has a distinctive presence. Good job!
Eerie but very vivid! I liked it very much!
i agree with the others - this is very clever and well done! The picture really seals it too...
i loved the poem-lighter than usual, and the picture is crazy
xoxoxox
great imaginary, though I thought the end was quirky and it sort of added humor compare with the rest of the poem
