My Polyvore Gray Day

Unfortunately, I am now sick (and over my spring break vaca no less). Thankfully, I'm working with watercolors, and not oil paints, (which makes painting much more difficult when I'm sick) for my up and coming art exhibit. I'm able to get some work done in small bouts of energy. Still, I've had to be in bed and watch reruns of the wedding singer to comfort me, but I'm worried about how I'm going to get everything I need for the exhibit done. I have so much in my mind that I want to do and such little energy and time to do it. -_-

I thought for today's blog post I would fantasize about what I would wear if I could get up and be a fly girl today (which I have aptly named my Gray day) who knows it might actually motivate me!
And for those of you who have yet to be entranced by Polyvore you really need to try this digital collage mecca for your style dreams, fantasies, wish list and flat out designer fun like some of my fellow bloggers do! Often there are even creative challenge questions posted to help you start.

Polyvore is very addictive!

Those boots are So SO me, wish I owned them- in fact I do own Fornarina knee high boots that remind me of these!

Well next post I will be back with some new work that is coming along for the Azucarera gallery so stay tuned.

So tell me what motivates YOU on a GRAY day??

First and foremost, so sorry that you are not well and am sending you an immense amount of love and healing juju your way. Hope that it isn't anything reallly serious that a few home remedies and rest can't cure.

On a day that is figuratively or literally gray there are a variety of things that can motivate me (i am faceted). I find motivation in the unconditional love of my furkids. I may also put on a movie like "Goonies" or something light hearted to get me to settle into a place of calm. Music is also a HUGE element that helps me to release from whatever may be holding me back or down. It gets me to a state that I can get all goofy and dance about my place with such a carefree spirit....and before I even know it...the gray has lifted. If I can take a long brisk walk among nature can do it for me too or even buying magazines (arts and crafts) or books (leisure) allows me to escape from the gloom. (like I said I'm faceted).

Btw, LOVE Fornarnia. Here is a link to a site that allows you to get items at a lower cost.http://www.overstock.com/search?keywords=fornarnia&taxonomy=sto7&searchtype=Header. I missed out on a great pair of boots over the winter because I wasn't fast enough to purchase them.

I love that website, it always makes such fun outfit combinations~

That stinks that you are sick, you shouldn't have to work! I hope you feel better, so that you can get everything done on time, and make it look awesome.

Awwww... {{{hugs}}} Feel better!

I love polyvore... I always get lost there for hours when I think it'll just be a few minutes... hehehe...

On a grey day... I have a hard time pulling myself out of melancholy and lethargy... Pop music, something upbeat, and getting lost in creating art usually works though...

that stinks that you're sick! i always get sick over break! you will get everything done, don't stress. stress is likely what's making you sick, so you need to sit back and focus on getting well. polyvore is sososo much fun. good question... what motivates me on a gray day... well first you need some pump up music, i like something light, and happy like yacht or the song home by edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros. next i start day dreaming about my focus project, like about runway and doing the girls hair with flowers. i think about how i'd like to make the runway look like a dock and how i'll set up all the chairs with little directions of how to make a boat. i also think about whimsical guerilla art. since i've been having quite a few gray days recently, i escaped the house with jack to anthropologie, their displays are inspiring in themselves. next, i eat a tasty meal, preferably soemthing healthy because it'll make me feel better. finally, i remember that i am surrounded by some pretty awesome people and that i can do anything i put my mind to. Cliche, but true!!! Hope you feel better!

love polyvore!

i love gray days! i think they are so fun because you can choose how you want to spend the day! you can be lazy and cozy or you can be super motivated and creative because you are "stuck inside!" Today I'm going to spend the first part of my gray rainy day splashing in puddles and going to work, then splashing in puddles to come home and get organized.

What motavates me on a grey day is just going on the computer and checking out people i know blogs (like you) and just hanging around my site. Th boots that you like r so cool, i would wear them to..and you are right they are TOTALLY you. :)

just a reminder to make the DIY cupcake poster if you have time, if you don't, I can whip something up. All it needs to have is the blank cupcake, the cupcake with frosting, the cupcake with decorations, and the wrapper with crumbs. you can add any text you see fit. I think it should say PAS DIY Cupcake Sale, $2, and idk the date yet.

I am making these darling cupcake flags to top each one off with. I might write "P.A.S." on each one. I was also thinking of hanging white and orange poofs above the table. the color scheme is going to be white and orange, like the little flags. i have some cute mason jars to hold decorations and I'm making little instructions to put out on the table.

Most people think gray is such a depressing color, but I love wearing it. I do have to admit that a gray sky isn't exactly my favorite. But wearing it makes me feel effective and elegant.

Hmmm, what motivates me on a gray day? Either music, getting creative or the hope that it'll pass.

I hope your feeling better Mari Wari!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o(

I've never hear of Polyvore but my God those prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What motivates me on a Gray Day is Blockbuster, chips and dip/salsa and baggy clothes :o)

You started my addiction to Polyvore almost a year ago, I haven't been on in a while though. Oh and my friend told me about a similar site that allows you to create outfits however they are displayed an a model and actually ends up looking like a magazine ad it's pretty cool I cant remember the link now but I will email it to you.
Shopping motivates me on a gray day, seriously if the weather is bad and gloomy i make myself feel better by buying something bright and shiny. I also always treat myself to super yummy Italian food on rainy days, it's horribly bad for me but always makes me feel better.

Everyday has been a Gray Day here in England. Blame it on the April showers! I used to just bum around and feel depressed whenever the weather gets me down but now I beat it by doing something productive...like crocheting or maybe just snuggling up with my boyfriend and watch Frasier lol.

yeah, i'm sick too. Hm.... sadly, nothing usually motivates me on rainy days. I usually just sleep in...
