Here are some of my all time favorite books that I think every maker, artist, designer and/or photographer should have in their possession. Actually no matter who you are you may take an interest in these, because they all touch on humanity and how we live our lives.

Jack Delano has been one of the most influential photographers in my artistic experience. Especially his images in which he juxtaposes Puerto Rico prior to and post multinational corportaion infestation.

This is an all time classic to me. Lucy Lippard was a head of her time when she wrote this book and is a must have for all art aficionados.

Candy Jernigan's life was abbreviated - however while she was here - she created art around the everyday - proving she existed with what was around her. Evidence,is a phenomenal book about living an artful life by any means -including making peace and finding spirit in the debris of our life. The botanist style of Candy cataloging her life makes a fascinating read.

This book was assigned to us (the grad class), during my first semester of obtaining my Masters of Fine Arts and it left a deep impression on me.
