How Much is That Doggie In The WindoW?
This is an illustration that I did based on a Caribbean version of how much is that doggie in the window...the name of the shop is Island Pets. The little girl has no money but is willing to trade everything she owns for that scraggly little dog. This is Illustration has a lot of sentimental value for me because 1. Its a prophetic illustration (see my blog post of the same name) and 2. my husband artist Gregg Emery illustrated the walking silhouetted figures outside the shop in his trademark loose style which complements my tight style so well!!

This illustration was just a beginning attempt at producing sequential imagery...and since I LOVE halloween...well there it is.

Penelope Is Not Real
This is an image of a children's story I wrote about a little girl named Penelope and her imaginary friend named Lucy. Although I "story-booked" many of the images of the whole story this is the only fully resolved illustrations I have made of the story thus far.

MariLuna (Sea and Moon)
This is an illustration paying homage to my love of my mother island of Puerto Rico. If you look carefully you can see classic Puerto Rican imagery as Mar-y-luna (sea and Moon) dreams.

Flamenco Dancer1
I studied Flamenco Dancing at the 92nd St. Y for almost two years, then danced it for the last time at my wedding! I have to do something about that.

A Day At The Zoo
I really wanted to play with the red the balloon and the story being expanded through the reflection on the shiny balloon - ultimately I'm not sure it worked, but I like the piece anyway.
